Happy Nude Year

2026 is officially here!

It feels good to start off a fresh! I must admit, I was miffed at 2025, but we can't always control the events of life. I am thankful for my support system: Chosen family, bestie, Mom,and Bae.

As I write this I'm settling down for the night and preparing to eat my collard greens and black eyed peas. (IYKYK). I managed to cook my infamous collard greens. I haven't made greens in a while so I felt good to try my hand for one of my favorite dishes.

I am excited, yet meticulous about how my year is going to go. This year I will be better prepared for some changes, but very watchful of the political landscape which will affect all of us in many ways.

2026 will also be the year of dismantling oppressive systems. 2026 is the year of freedom for all and not just the elite. 2026 will be a test of our grit, but we must stand strong and fight for what's right. I will continue to fight for the communities in which I am a member.

I am determined that 2026 will be one of the best years ever.
