Purge or War on Sex Workers?

Recently, Twitter, aka X, under went a "bot" purge. During this time, many accounts were suspended and many spam accounts removed. This is apart of an attempt to clean up the site from the invasive, pestoring, AI bots! While this attempt seemed well meaning, it wreaked havoc on authentic account users such as myself. Yup! You guessed it: NSFW content creators aka Porn Creators. But it didn't stop there. They even got my naturist account!

I was surfing Facebook, and I saw a post from a mutual that Twitter was snatching people's accounts. I did not dismiss the post and began the watch for any messages. Well, on April 9th, 2026. My alarm went off and as usual I checked my messages and e-mails. While breezing through my emails, I noticed an email from X Support. It advised me that my Merlin Mystique account had been suspended for "inauthentic activity." I immediately appealed and awaited a response. While I awaited a response on a possible account restoration, I proceeded with my morning routine.

By the time, I got on the Red Line, I checked my email, and saw that my Talk2Priestess account was suspended a couple hours later. I was disgruntled and irritated, but prepared. I submitted another appeal and then waited. During that time I sent word through my other socials of the events that transpired. I was wholly prepared to work Bluesky and cultivate new community elsewhere.

The appeal process wasn't easy. I felt dejected a bit because I would lose a well cultivated following on my accounts as well as a beloved online community. However, I was preparing to let it be what it was gonna be. As I received word that my Merlin Mystique account was restored, I received an update that the Talk2Priestess account would not be restored. As I checked the Merlin account, it still showed as suspended. I decided to give it 24 hours to update and see what happens. The account was not restored. As I began another grueling appeal process, my nudist, YannickTNude account was suspended. It then dawned on me: since Musky Boy, fired all human staff and decided to use AI, I and others were dealing with a dumpster fire.

I then jumped on my other operational pages and did a search via the Twitterverse. Just as I suspected it was a bot purge, but unfortunately Sex Workers, and Adult content creators were a bulk of the suspended accounts. It was a surprise, but not foreign territory. This happened during the Tumblr purge of 2018. We saw this with Twitter in 2023 when Elon Musk bullied his way into owning the platforming that's naming it "X." Every since then racist, fascist bots began overthrowing the site. Elon then changed the algorithm and verification requirements, driving the app to shit. Let's not forget he and 45/47 were besties at one point.

Over the last few years, these so called "bot purges" have targeted Sex Workers and Small to Big content creators while overlooking racist, transphobic propaganda, and other harmful content against minors. Most recently, Grok, the AI bot was discovered to have been making CSAM material through AI. There was no accountability at all!

During my search I read numerous tweets of users comiserating their account suspension. They were not bots, they were actual human beings making a living with their content. While the suspensions where temporary, the harm was done. There was a loss of community for many users.

Thousands of those purged accounts were people crowdfunding to maintain shelter, healthcare, and food security! These accounts were people who used X for their music career and their businesses! Real people were affected.

Further research revealed and further appeal requests revealed that AI is doing the moderating. There is no human interaction. AI and Musk's ownership has made X a madhouse. This purge surely lead more users to Bluesky and other sites like NonShy.

 Needless to say, I was irritated with these suspensions because I feared losing community and I feared my followers losing access to my content! While my accounts were restored, some of my counterparts have not been so lucky! I am irritated with the suffering us adult content and nudist content creators face just for freely expresssing our sexuality. It's sad that abusive content withstands on the app and Grok can do whatever without recompense.

Of course AI is trained by humans, so it begs to question what are they doing behind the scenes. How are they programming this AI bullshit?   A

  AI is not the future at all. AI is going to leave us in an augmented reality where mankind will lose touch with empathy, morality, and ethics. In the same breath, Sex Workers should not be penalized for just consensually sharing our sexuality! Constant censorship continues to demonize a healthy culture.

  Sex work is only dangerous because of the predators who use sex work as a way to traffic human souls. Constant censorship opens up the door for harm to happen, where as proper online moderation and decriminalization of Sex Work will open up avenues for the stroll to be safer!

  Thankfully as of April 19th, 2026, My YannickTNude and MerlinMystique accounts have been restored. They must've gotten some humans to fix the issue because they were beginning to lose revenue. The purge also got some of those paid verification accounts. The email from support admitted moderation made a mistake. While those accounts have been restored, I am still awaiting for the Talk2Priestess account to be restored. While they have been restored I've used other social media, predominantly, Bluesky.

At least on Bluesky there is some moderation, however, there are some kinks like every other social media site. Ever since the debacle of 2023 and Musks hostile take over, I decided to use sites like Gay Geek Social, Mastodon World, and Mastodon Social all located in the Fediverse! These allow moderation and is very SWer friendly!!! These have been my alternatives to X/Twitter.

I have resolved that if another purge affects my accounts, then I will indeed leave the site. It is my earnest prayer that Elon sells the site and someone restores Twitter back to their former glory with proper moderation against CSAM, Fascist rhetoric and hate speech.

X is officially dead. It's past time we leave and bankrupt Musk and the likes. It's time to go to The Fediverse or Sites Like Bluesky. Maybe we can't bring X back to it's former glory.
